The religion of the Qing dynasty was declared to be Confucianism by the first emperor, and was not changed during the history of the Qing dynasty. Confucianism is the belief that all humans are teachable, improvable, and perfectible by their community and themselves. They believe that one should give up their own life, if necessary, to withhold the moral values of Ren and Yi. Ren was the belief that one must treat their community and everyone around them with the same respect. Yi was the belief that everyone had moral values to follow and that everyone should follow them to do good. Although Confucianism was the main religion of the Qing dynasty, they did have two other religions that they allowed. These three religions were called Three Religions of China, or Sanjiao: Confucianism, Daoism and Buddhism. The Qing culture was mostly influenced by their advancements in art. When China was introduced to western form of painting and pottery, they began making art in a much more interesting and complicated way. Which brought around many advancements in their own culture, and their economy.
